Moulin des Moines is built on the site of a 13th century mill founded by Cistercian monks in the heart of the Alsatian countryside, near the river Zorn. The Cistercian monks were renowned for their advanced agricultural techniques and perfect knowledge of their cultures.

Organic pioneer since 1970, Moulin des Moines company is among the first to transform cereals from organic farming. By producing its own energy through the turbine powered by Zorn River, sorting waste, composting and feeding many animal species, Moulin des Moines is part of a consistent approach to protect the environment.
